Collector Roads Map

PEI collector roads distribute traffic from local low-volume roads to high-traffic arterial highways. Collector roads are important rural routes that connect our Island ports and farm communities and ensure local PEI industries have efficient, reliable access to domestic and export markets.

There are 830 kilometres of collector roads throughout PEI. Based on traffic threshold of 1,000 vehicles per day, close to 60 per cent of PEI collector roads are eligible for federal-provincial infrastructure dollars for resurfacing, road widening or extension, and roundabout construction.

These infrastructure projects will extend road life, improve ride quality and offer safer and more efficient routes for motorists, cyclists and pedestrians.

The collector routes across PEI are illustrated on the collector road map
