Apply Online for Seniors Housing

You can use this online form to apply for a seniors housing unit. If you are over age 60, or 55 and older and you have a disability and your housing needs have changed or you no longer have the ability to stay in your own home, you may be able to live in one of the seniors housing units near your current home.

What do I need to complete this application online?

You will need to provide your current contact information, your date of birth and your PEI Health Card number on this application. 

How long does it take to complete this application?

You should be able to complete this application in about 15 minutes.

What happens after I apply?

Once your application is received, a Housing Services staff member will contact you to schedule an appointment. 

Please have the following documents available for your appointment
  • Recent Notice of Assessment & Tax Summary
  • Confirmation of Residency or Lease Agreement
  • Verification of Heat/ Electricity Expenses
  • If Applicable, Pay Stubs, Pension Verification, and Property Taxes/ Insurance

Is there anything I should know before I apply for housing?

Tenants are selected based on need. After you apply for the program, a housing officer will contact you to arrange an interview. The officer will assess your need according to your income, assets, health, age and current housing conditions.

Your monthly rent will be set at 25 per cent of your income.

You will be responsible for furniture, window coverings, tenant insurance, and costs for electricity, phone, cable and internet.
