How does the Arena Support Program enhance local physical activity?

The Arena Support Program is designed to support the operations of existing community arenas that provide programs and services, which will increase the physical activity levels of Islanders living within and around those communities. Funded organizations must clearly support the physical activity program of the Province.

How much funding can I access through project grants?

Project grants may be up to $9,000 for indoor artificial ice surfaces and $3,000 for indoor natural ice surfaces.

What projects are not eligible for the Arena Support Program?

Only those arenas that have received funding in the past are eligible to apply.

How do I apply for the Arena Support Program?

Divisional staff will contact each arena once the program is open in each fiscal year.

Is there a deadline to apply for the Arena Support Program?

There is no deadline.

Is there a fee to apply?

There is no fee to apply.

Are there any special conditions attached to the Arena Support Program?

Any special conditions are included within the letter circulated to each eligible arena.
