Register your Business Name

You must register your company with the Province in order to conduct any business activity in the PEI. You can search the Corporate/ Business Names Registry to ensure the name you are considering has not already been registered. You can register as a PEI-based sole proprietor, partnership, or incorporation.  If your business is registered in another province but you intend to conduct business activity in PEI, you will require a Business Registration for an Extra-Provincial Corporation. Non-profit organizations, cooperatives and credit unions also require corporate registration.
