Indigenous Case Worker

This service provides casework, programs, intervention and support with a focus on culturally appropriate services to Indigenous clients who are involved in the criminal justice system. The Indigenous Case Worker makes referrals to other community services, works with related community agencies, and provides training on diversity.

What services does the Indigenous Case Worker provide?

The Indigenous Case Worker offers programs and one to one interventions for youth and adults to assist and support individuals and families experiencing significant personal difficulties associated with criminal behaviour.

The Indigenous Case Worker assists clients in participating in cultural healing practices and applies culturally relevant programming.

What is the referral process?

Referrals are accepted for youth and adults who are involved in the criminal justice system. These individuals are referred by Correctional Facilities, Probation Services, and Youth Justice Services.  A person may self-refer to the program and referrals are accepted from other community agencies.

Is there a fee?

There is no fee.
