Slemon Park is a 1,500 acre property for the some of the world’s finest companies in the aviation, aerospace, diversified manufacturing, commercial and light industries. The companies currently located in the park include:

  • Vector Aerospace,
  • Tronos Canada,
  • Honeywell Engines, Systems and Services,
  • Testori Americas Corporation, and
  • MDS Coating Technologies Corporation.

Where is Slemon Park located?

Slemon Park is located on the north side of Route 2, only five kilometers from the city of Summerside and 20 kilometres from the Confederation Bridge.

What are some of the unique features of Slemon Park?

Slemon Park features the Summerside Airport, a fully serviced Transport Canada registered airport. The airport provides hangar and refueling services to general aviation as well as corporate, private, military and commercial aircraft. Trained staff provides the full range of services associated with a fixed base aircraft operation including aircraft handling, tie-down and hangarage services.

Slemon Park also includes various training facilities like:

  • Holland College’s Atlantic Police Academy,
  • Holland College’s Aerospace & Industrial Technology Centre,
  • JVI Driver Training, and
  • The Academy of Learning.

The Slemon Park Corporation also operates and manages:

  • Residential housing division,
  • 3.5 star hotel and conference centre,
  • Restaurant and lounge, and
  • Retail plaza with convenience store, coffee shop/restaurant, and postal outlet.

Who administers Slemon Park?

The park is owned and managed by Slemon Park Corporation.

How much space is available at the park?

  • Total acreage is 1,500
  • Total vacant acreage is 1,000
  • Space is available for new and expanding businesses of any size in the commercial and light manufacturing sectors.

What is the price of land and services at the park?

  • Land – Lease prices are negotiable between the client and the developer.
  • Service Installation:
    • Water and Sewer Costs – Water and sewer costs are not currently included in the price of land. The water and sewer mains are connected to the property line. It is the responsibility of the client to connect to the existing system.
    • Roads – Costs of driveway installation, parking and paving is negotiable between the client and the Slemon Park Corporation.
    • Power – Installation and cost of power is negotiable between the client and Maritime Electric.
    • Rebates and Incentives – There are tax rebates and incentives available to tenants of Slemon Park who are involved in the aerospace industry. (What are these rebates/incentives?)
